We Will not follow Mimiko to PDP - LP members vow

Scores of supporters of the ruling Labour Party(LP) in Ondo State on Tuesday condemned the defection of Governor Olusegun Mimiko to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) without considering the interest of its members.

The aggrieved LP members mainly from Ose Local Government Area said they would not defect to PDP with the governor.

Leader of the group and one time Supervisor in Ose Local Government said Mimiko used them to win his second term election.

He, however, regretted that he replaced them while owing each of the 185 members of the Forum, without any compensation for winning their various wards for him.

The politician said all efforts to see the governor during and after their disengagement proved abortive.

He said they were consulting among themselves, stressing that they would rather go to another party than follow Mimiko like blind people.

The former Supervisor said they had choices of parties to align with, adding that they would soon make public their next line of action.
