2face Vs Dbanj: Who Is The Bigger Star?

In your opinion, who is the bigger star?

Kissing Your Wife In Public In Dubai Can Land You In Jail

When you are in a foreign land, respect their idiosyncrasies and of course their law. How many Nigerians for instance know that you can go to jail for one month if you pucker up to your wife in a restaurant in Dubai? Yeah, that’s right.

So, imagine what will happen if you are caught pants down with a member of the opposite sex in a public place. You are asking for it.

A British woman and Irish man recently accused of engaging in intimate activities in a Dubai taxi have now been sent to jail for three months after which they will be deported.

Rebecca Blake and Conor McRedmond both denied charges of "breach of honour with consent" and committing "an indecent act in a taxi" when they appeared in court last month. They also pleaded guilty to a third charge related to consumption of alcohol in public.

"The court sentenced them to jail for three months and deportation in addition to a fine of 3000 dirhams (R7300) each," their lawyer Shaker al-Shammary said.

Granted that United Arab Emirates is the most liberal of the seven-member UAE federation; granted it wants to be seen as a tourist haven and throws its doors open to all and sundry; still, the country frowns on acts that fly in the face of their Muslim identity.

So, brothers and sisters, be careful.

15 year old Girl Beheaded For Refusing Marriage

A teenage girl was beheaded by a relative in northern Afghanistan after she turned down his marriage proposals, according to reports. The victim, named as Gisa, was decapitated with a knife in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province on Tuesday, local police said. She is believed to be around 15-years-old.

A police spokesman said two men, named as Sadeq and Massoud, had been arrested following the teenage girl’s murder.

The two men are understood to be close relatives of the victim that live in the same village. Local police sources have said the men behind the attack wanted to marry the girl, but their advances had been turned down by victim’s father.

Gisa is understood to have been attacked as she returned to her home in Kulkul village after going out to collect water from a nearby well. Her father told a local news agency he had not wanted his daughter to get married because she was too young.

Afghanistan’s Taliban regime – notorious for its oppression of women in the country – was ousted in 2001, but extreme violence against women is still rife. In 2009, the Elimination of Violence Against Woman law was introduced in Afghanistan, criminalising child marriage, forced marriage, ‘giving away’ a girl or woman to settle a dispute, among other acts of violence against the female population of the ultra-conservative Islamic nation.

But the UN has said there is a ‘long way to go’ before the rights of Afghan women are fully protected. Comprehensive official statistics on the number of incidents of violence against women in the country are difficult to establish, with the majority of cases going unreported.

However, in the year to March 2011, Afghanistan’s Independent Human Rights Commission registered over 2,000 acts of violence against women.

The NATO-led International Security and Assistance Force has given high priority to re-establishing women’s rights that were eradicated under the Taliban as part of its efforts to create a security strategy for Afghanistan.

But with the deadline for international troops to pull out of the country – scheduled for the end of 2014 – looming, activists have warned that the outlook for the female population remains bleak. Human Rights Watch has said women’s rights are increasingly at risk in the run up to the scheduled draw-down of NATO forces, with early and forced marriage, impunity for violence against women and lack of access of justice among the long list of challenges they still face.

“If I keep waiting for an Igbo man, I will just end up like Genevieve Nnaji who is eternally single” -Tonto Dikeh

Interviewer: We just learnt that you will be getting married soon to your new boyfriend who happens to come from Benin, Edo state. Why are so many Nollywood female starts getting snapped up by Benin or men from Edo state?

Tonto Dike: First of all, it is nobody’s business where my fiance is from. That out of the way, yes Benin men are great and very understanding. They are not sitting and judging you unlike an Igbo man that will want to be poke-nosing in everything you do. You make your money and the Edo man is not interested in your personal affairs . “If I keep waiting for an Igbo man, I will just end up like Genevieve Nnaji who is eternally single.”

Tonto dike Debunked the statement above…

In a reaction to the alleged interview, which has spread like harmmatan fire, Tonto reacted this way, “I have never and will never say anything against Genevieve. I will not even interfere in her personal issues. I did not grant such interview.”

Her publicist also denied any such statement from Tonto dike. The publicist said, “after her interview with you (NFC) last year December, Tonto dike has only granted an interview with a soft-sell magazine, which was done about three months ago.
So, I don’t know where that purported interview came from or when such was granted.”

Prezzo & Goldie To Wed Early Next Year

Prezzo and Goldie at the Channel O house party recently.
The relationship that bloomed during the Big Brother Africa StarGame reality show between Kenya's Prezzo and Nigeria's Goldie is turning out to be one of the most controversial relationships in the celebrities world.

Their fans cannot even tell whether the two are a thing or not since Goldie rubbished the claims that they were a couple on a Nigerian national radio.

As strange as it would turn out a few days down the line Prezzo and his queen Goldie were seen at a dowry exchange ceremony in Nigeria dressed in the same attire looking like husband and wife.

A Nigerian radio station later made the claims that the couple has even married secretly and are just hiding their relationship.

The much mumbo jumbo is definitely spinning the heads of many and there is even more to confuse fans. Apparently according to a radio station in Nigeria, Prezzo flew to Nigeria to propose to Goldie just a day after her departure from Kenya.

He made the official engagement to Goldie in front of her parents and they have set a wedding date for next year February 9. We hope the El Presidante comes out clean and declares his stand.

Angry wife stabs hubby to death for accusing her of infidelity

Residents of No. 8 Eze Street, off Okposi Street, Nkaliki, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State are still wondering on what. Could have prompted a woman to kill her husband whom she had lived with for several years.

Occupants of the compound woke in the morning to be greeted with the shocking news that Mr. Yaune Okorji, an Assistant Immigration Officer attached to Ebonyi State headquarters of the command has been reportedly killed by his wife during a domestic violence.

It was gathered that the late Okoroji and his wife, Mrs. Judith Okorji have been having serious marital crisis over infidelity before his sudden demise.

The ‘family war’ we learnt reached a crescendo the fateful day when the late Okoroji accused his wife of having affairs with another man in a hotel.

Sources said both the deceased and his embittered wife all hailed from Ahoada in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Eyewitness said the immigration officer was stabbed to death around 1:00am after a fight with his wife, Judith went beyond control.

The source who pleaded anonymity said that when late Okorji returned late to his matrimonial home on the fateful day, his wife who was already pregnant began to question the husband over his love for alcohol , which eventually ended up in a serious squabble and the wife allegedly stabbed the husband with a dagger.

The source said, “It was then that the wife out of annoyance grabbed a knife very close to her and stabbed him on the upper part of his left hand and it pierced through his chest and the man fell down, with blood gushing out .

Neighbours who were attracted to the scene, grabbed him and rushed him to the Federal Teaching Hospital.

Unfortunately, he died on the way to the hospital”.

It was learnt that some angry relatives of the murdered Okorji in a revenge responded to the incident by setting the house of the suspect ablaze.

DailyPost gathered that there’s serious tension in the community.

The Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sylvester Igbo who confirmed the incident said that Mrs. Judith Okorji, 24, had since been arrested by the command for allegedly stabbing her husband to death after a quarrel bordering on infidelity.

According to the police spokesman, “When the matter was reported, the police went to the scene and she was arrested. In the course of the investigation, she made confessional statement to the police. The Police discovered that she used the dagger belonging to the husband to stab him during the quarrel.

The deceased was a staff of Immigration here in the state from Ahoda East in Rivers State. They were living as husband and wife before the incident”.

According to him, investigation had so far been carried out by the command on the matter and it shows that the accused, a nursing mother of three, might have been enraged after her late husband accused her of sleeping with another man.

Igbo revealed that the accused, who is also a law student of the Nigeria Open University (NOU) had confessed to have committed the crime but claimed that it was the devil that pushed her.

It was learnt that at Judith who was previously in police custody, was later charged to court and remanded in prison custody for further investigation as the body of the deceased had been deposited at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, FETHA, for autopsy.
Daily Post gathered that the fatherless children are presently in the care of Mrs. Eddy, a close friend to Judith.

Court reads Ojukwu`s Will;1st son Debe not mentioned, another unknown daughter benefits,Bianca gets Lion share

The will of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, was on Friday presented to the family with his widow, Bianca, getting the lion’s share. The presentation by the Chief Registrar of the Enugu High Court, Mr Dennis Ekoh, was witnessed by Bianca, Mr Val Nwosu, Ojukwu’s first cousin, and Mr Mike Ejemba.

In the will, the late Ojukwu identified one Tenny Haman as one of his children. Ojukwu listed the children as Tenny Haman, Chukwuemeka Jnr, Mmegha, Okigbo, Ebele, Chineme, Afam and Nwachukwu.

The Ikemba gave the Casabianca Lodge at No. 7, Forest Crescent, GRA, Enugu, two property at Jabi and Kuje in the FCT as well as all his money and personal effects to his widow.

He also said that Bianca should replace him as the trustee in the family company, Ojukwu Transport Ltd, while also giving her two plots of land in his village at Nnewi. He, however, added that if she re-married, the land should be taken away from her.

The first son, Emeka Jnr., got the family house at Nnewi, while the newly mentioned daughter, Tenny Haman, got the Jubilee Hotel located in Zaria, Kaduna State. The Biafran warlord also shared other landed property in the village among all his children.

Ojukwu listed the trustees and executors of the will to include Bianca, Emeka Jnr and Mr James Chukwuneme. The will did not mention Ojukwu’s first son, Debe Ojukwu, the Akpunwa Nnewi.

Reacting to the will, Bianca, who is Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, expressed satisfaction with its contents. “It was a fair will. This time round, he did not disappoint us,’’ she said.

The ambassador, however, expressed shock at the disclosure of a new daughter in the family, whom she said had never been mentioned by her husband. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that none of the children was present at the presentation of the will.

Blasphemous Photo Of Obama As Jesus Christ

The painting is called “Truth” – and shows the president with his arms outstretched. A crown of thorns rests on his head.

It was originally supposed to debut nearly four years ago at New York City’s Union Square. But that event was cancelled due to public outrage.

In the piece, by Michael D’Antuono, the President is shown wearing a suit and red tie with his arms outstretched.

But instead of actually being nailed to a cross like Jesus, Mr Obama’s arms are extended drawing back a blue curtain. He has a crown of thorns resting on his head.

According to Michael D’Antuono, "I always regretted cancelling my exhibit in New York because I feel my First Amendment rights should override someone’s hurt feelings".

CPC Supports Sanusi Who Called For Govt to Sack 50% of its Workers.

** condemn NLC over its call for Sanusi to be sack over his remark.
**labour should be blamed for scuttling the Jan, 2011 people’s revolt.
**people should blame the financial recklessness of this PDP-led Govt instead of Sanusi.

As if to confirm the rumoured romance between the Governor of the CBN, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the party formed by Muhammadu Buhari for his presidential ambition, the CPC has come out against the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) over its call for the sacking of Sanusi as a fall out for his call for sacking 50% of Nigeria's civil servants.

It would be recalled that Muhammadu Buhari as well as chieftains of the CPC, including Nasir Elrufai, were at Sanusi's turbanning as Dan Maje Kano by the Emir of Kano just five days after the Dana Air Crash in June of this year.

The national publicity secretary of the CPC, Engr. Rotimi Fashakin, made the party's stance known in a statement he released yesterday. NaijaPundit brings you extracts of the statement below.

“Whilst we do not agree that the cause of the exorbitant recurrent expenditure is wholly due to the size of the public service work-force and that the sacking of half its size is the solution to the identified problem, we believe the call for the call for the sacking of the forthright Public officer for volunteering his personal opinion is equally preposterous. It is our belief that the fiscal indiscipline of this Jonathan-led administration has exacerbated the Nation’s malaise!”

“We equally believe that rather vilifying the CBN governor for the commentary, this should throw up meaningful discourse on extricating the Nation from the financial recklessness of this PDP-led Federal Government.” “In the first place, the CBN governor is not in a position to implement policy for sacking the Nation’s public servants. At best, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi aired his personal opinion. We are at a loss at the nexus between his personal opinion and the strident call for his sack, except there are other sinister underpinnings in this call.”

“As a Party, we have equally taken note of the ignominious manner this present crop of Labour leadership truncated, in January 2012, the people’s popular refusal to yield to the exploitative tendencies of the Nation’s rulers. In the course of scuttling the people’s revolt, some of these Labour leaders got appointed into some dodgy committees that were not primed to achieve result. This is why we view this call by the Labour leaders for Sanusi’s sack as a cheap, opportunistic (albeit languid) ploy to crawl back to the people’s reckoning.”

“We believe that responsible leadership is about selflessness and consistency. We advise the Nation’s Labour leaders to critically examine the policies of governments (Federal and State) that impinge on the well-being of the people instead of looking for scape-goat for cheap populism.”

The General Assembly voted 138-9 in favour, with 41 abstaining. The Palestinians can now take part in UN debates and potentially join bodies like the International Criminal Court.

Hundreds of people celebrated on the streets of Ramallah in the West Bank after the result was announced, but Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the vote "meaningless".

In the West Bank, crowds celebrated the vote by waving flags and chanting "God is great!"

"For the first time, there will be a state called Palestine, with the recognition of the entire world," Amir Hamdan was quoted as saying by the Associated Press news agency.

Fashola arrests policeman riding ‘okada’ on express road

Governor Fashola yesterday Thursday November 29th ordered the arrest of a policeman riding a motorcycle on Lagos/Abeokuta expressway.

The governor spotted the policeman when his convoy was passing on the Ikeja section of the expressway. Policemen in the governor’s convoy effected the arrest and immediately whisked him away in their van.

Fashola later told newsmen that the arrest was to serve as a deterrent to those who felt that they were above the law and so could break the state’s laws.

“There is no one above the law in the state. People who are not prepared to obey our laws should leave the state.

“There is no society where laws are not broken, but the state government would continue to increase its enforcement so that there will be high level of compliance”, he said.

No More Hard Labour For Prisoners - Senate

The senate yesterday expunged hard labour from Nigerian Prisons Act, stressing that it was inherited from the colonial masters.

It recommended that ‘hard labour,’ according to Section (8)1, is “an inheritance from colonial era and should be deleted and replaced with Prison Labour.”

The Senate also recommended a bill for an Act to repeal the Prisons Act Cap. 129 Laws, 2004 and enact the Nigerian Prisons and Correctional Service.

The decision came following the amendment of the Prison Act carried out by Senate Committee on Interior, which was headed by Senator Atiku Bagudu, who also solicited for the accommodation of the Nigeria Prisons reform in the Subsidy Re-investment Empowerment Programme (SURE-P).

Senator Bagudu while speaking during the consideration of the report of the committee, added that anybody who interferes in the work of a prisoner by working outside a prison or entering any house commits an offence and is liable to one year imprisonment or N10,000 fine.

Section 8(g) stipulated that “interference with a prisoner working outside a prison, or allows such a prisoner to enter any house, yard or other premises (unless it is at the request of the prison officer or other person in charge of the prison), or assists such a prisoner to absent himself or neglect his work, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding N10,000 or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 12 months, or both.”

28 year old Ghanaian Arrested With Cocaine At Nigeria’s Border

The Seme Border Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a 28-year old Ghanaian auto dealer for allegedly concealing wraps of powdery substances that tested positive for cocaine in his inner wear, the agency said on Thursday.

The suspect, Ali Aminu, was arrested with a Ghanaian international passport number H2252580, said Mitchell Ofoyeju, NDLEA Head of Public Affairs.

Aminu is alleged to have imported 1.3 kilogrammes of cocaine from Dubai.

“He was caught during routine search of passengers at Gbaji security post along Lagos Seme express way,” NDLEA said.

NDLEA Seme Border Commander, Mr Nicholas Ajaduronye said: “A total of 78 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.3kg was found hidden inside his inner wear which he covered with the clothes he wore.”

The suspect was said to have boarded a flight from Dubai to Cotonou because he preferred to enter the country through the land borders, Ajaduronye said.

NDLEA quoted the suspect as saying in in a statement it was his friend in Brazil that introduced him into the drug business.

“My friend promised to pay me $ 2,500 which I intended to invest in my business,” he was quoted as saying.

“Ali who is married with two children told narcotic investigators that his father is from Ghana while the mother is from Anambra State,” NDLEA said in a statement.

Igbos Are Not United -Gov Okorocha

Until Igbos are united in one voice and aspiration, the highest political office in the country would continue to elude them, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said.

Owelle Okorocha who described Ndigbo as a gifted tribe to a troubled nation at the 2012 Ahiajoku lecture held at Ahiajoku convention Centre Owerri, said, Ndigbo are naturally endowed to surmount the factors militating against their dreams and aspiration with their God-given potentials.

Okorocha who posited that Ndigbo are not united, however urged them put up a collective efforts needed for their advancement.

He added that the essence of Ahiajoku lecture which started many years ago is aimed at reflecting on matters that concern the nation, Igbos in relationship with their tradition, culture, norms and values. He said that the 2012 Ahiajoku lecture titled “Okezue Ogbuu Alaa” stressed the need for Igbos to assume their proper place of pride in the nation.

He drew biblical illusion from the popular message of Angel Gabriel to Holy Mary, the mother of God which affirmed that “Igbos are full of grace and the Lord is with them” and further urged them to be courageous in advancing their course.

In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion and the former governor of Anambra state, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife applauded Imo state government for its efforts towards the preservation of Ahiajoku lecture since its inception in 1979, adding that it has been an exclusive forum that converges south easterners to chat on the way forward.

Ezeife commended Okorocha’s Free Education project in the state, pointing out that it would go a long way to stabilize peace and unity in the state and enjoined the people to reconcile and make peace with one another.

Delivering the 2012 Ahiajoku lecture proper on a topic titled “Okezue Equity and Justice in Igbo jurisprudence and the Nigerian Polity” A Professor of Law in Imo State University, Prof. Uba Frank Nnabue said democracy can only be meaningful when it secures people’s rights, in the affairs of the nation.

Prof. Nnabue condemned the inequitable distribution of wealth, and imbalances done in the state creation, pointing out that Igbos are not getting their due share in the scheme of things.

According to Nnabue, “a sharing formula does not become just simply because it is based on law, if such law is obnoxious, repugnant to natural Justices, equity and good conscience, or if such law is a product of nepotism, discrimination and devoid of acceptable reason or if such law is unjust, in this situation though the judgment has been given, it is not equitable”, he said.

He decried of the spate of leaders playing politics at the detriment of the people they represent, adding that time is up for people to elect credible leaders who possess the requisite integrity to ensure free and fair election.

“If one knows that rigging will not earn him/her anything but a possibility of going to jail, there will be free and fair election, that will bring out best as governors, the best governors will appoint the best as commissioners and board members and these will produce equitable formula for distribution and enthrone development in the state, stooges and sycophants cannot tell the governor the truth they are bereft of ideas and cannot perform.

The highlight of the occasion which was well attended by dignitaries across the nation was the introduction of 2013 Ahiajoku lecturer, Prof. Mrs. Ochendu Nzewuihe who would deliver on to topic “Nwanyi Sokwa” the role of women in Science and Technology.

Woman Kills Her Two Children To Avoid Losing Custody Battle

Castle Rock, Colorado mom Kelli Murphy was sentenced to two life terms after being charged with the murders of her nine-year-old Liam and six-year-old Madigan, the Examiner reports.

Kelli was reportedly involved in a nasty custody battle with her husband Eric and smothered the two children with pillows to prevent losing the case. The two were supposedly due for a court hearing the day of the murder.

She was considered after her lawyers unsuccessfully argued that she had ingested sleeping pills and vodka, especially after toxicology reports turned up nothing. It took the jury a little over an hour to deliver the verdict.

Eric’s family released a statement upon learning Kelli’s sentence. “This is a sad day for us. We would have preferred celebrating Liam’s 11th birthday today. Instead, we would just like to offer our sincere thanks to everyone involved in this case. Although nothing can make up for the loss of Liam and Madigan or fill the void that is left by their absence, we are thankful that this chapter is now over and we look to God to help lighten our hearts.”

RMD In Fraud Mess; Allegedly Embezzles N50m In Delta State

Popular Nollywood actor turned politician, Richard Mofe Damijo (popularly called RMD), who's the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State has allegedly embezzled N50 million belonging to the ministry, together with the acting General Manager of the state’s Tourism Board, Philo Nkem Ajufo.

Sources in Delta State, including two employees of the Culture Ministry, told our reporter that a former commissioner in the Ministry had requested N50 million to organize the “Delta State Expo 2007.” However, the state government was unable to release the funds that particular year to sponsor the yearly event.

By some bizarre twist, the funds were finally released to the ministry’s tourism account in May, 2012.

“As soon as the money arrived, the commissioner said that the ministry could no longer hold the event since six years had elapsed,” said a source within the ministry. “The Honorable Commissioners also argued that Deltans would have forgotten about the event – and therefore the money should not be used for the purpose it was released.”

However, our reporter obtained documents from the Delta State Ministry of Finance stipulating that the N50 million must be spent on the event for which the Culture Ministry applied for it. The warrant was signed by one P.O. Evuojapha on behalf of the state's Commissioner of Finance. The warrant indicated that N35 million of the funds was to go to the Tourism Board.

Our sources disclosed that RMD connived to issue a check of N35 million in the name of Ms. Ajufo who reportedly deposited the sum into her First Bank private account number 3006131619. “Mrs. Ajufo and RMD then shared the money,” one of our sources asserted.

Another government source said, “It is very obvious that the manner the check was issued in the name of the board GM instead of in the name of the board was fraudulent. It portrays an element of fraud.”

Several of our sources depicted Ms. Ajufo as somebody versed in the art of warming up to top politicians in the state and getting her way.

Two sources said Ms. Ajufo used her share of the looted funds to start off a twin duplex building located at No.6 Dunkwu Crescent in Asaba, the state capital. The building is behind Junior Staff quarters and near a Redeemed Christian Church. One source said Ms. Ajufo started the project in June, 2012.

Surprisingly, a source close to Ms. Ajufo told SaharaReporters that the head of the tourism board had denied receiving any of the embezzled funds. “She accused Mr. Mofe Damijo of carting away the whole sum of N50 million even when her account was used to commit the fraud,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Ms. Ajufo’s staff have reportedly lost all patience with her manner of running the board. “The acting GM is very, very corrupt,” said a staffer. “As we talk, apart from her official car, the Tourism Board cannot boast of a single functional car. All the board’s cars are grounded. And in this era of technology, there is no single working computer apart from one in her office – which she doesn’t use. Her office is entitled to N1 million subventions every month, but as soon as the money comes the commissioner and the GM share most of it. The left over is never properly used by the GM.”

When a reporter sent a text to Ms. Ajufo, the embattled GM wrote back, “Please, speak with the Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism. Thank you.”

Contacted by phone, Mr. Damijo denied all the allegations, insisting that no such money was released to his ministry at any time. “That matter is a dead matter,” he said. “There was no N50 million released to my ministry.” I run the Ministry with people, the Permanent Secretary and other directors.”

A Touching Love Story That'll Make U Cry

10th Grade:-
As I sat there in English class,
I stared at the girl next to me.
She was my so called 'best friend'.
I stared at her long, silky hair,
and wished she was mine.
But she didn't notice me like that,
and I knew it.
After class,
she walked up to me and asked me for
the notes she had missed the day before.
I handed them to her.She said 'thanks'
and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I want to tell her, I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.

11th grade:-
The phone rang. On the other end,
it was her. She was in tears,
mumbling on and on about how
her love had broke her heart.
She asked me to come over
because she didn't want to be alone, So I did.
As I sat next to her on the sofa, I stared at her
soft eyes, wishing she was mine.
After 2 hours, one Drew Barrymore movie,
and three bags of chips,
she decided to go home.
She looked at me, said 'thanks'
and gave me a kiss
on the cheek..I want to tell her,
I want her to know that
I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.

Senior year:-
One fine day she walked to my locker.
"My date is sick" she said,
"hes not gonna go" well,
I didn't have a date, and in 7th grade,
we made a promise that
if neither of us had dates,
we would go together just as 'best friends'.
So we did.
That night, after everything was over,
I was standing at her front door step.
I stared at her as She smiled at me
and stared at me with her crystal eyes.
Then she said- "I had the best time, thanks!"
and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I want to tell her,
I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.

Graduation:-
A day passed, then a week, then a month.
Before I could blink, it was graduation day.
I watched as her perfect body
floated like an angel
up on stage to get her diploma.
I wanted her to be mine-but
she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it.
Before everyone went home,
she came to me in her smock and hat,
and cried as I hugged her.
Then she lifted her head from my shoulder
and said- 'you're my best friend,
thanks' and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I want to tell her,
I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.

Marriage:-
Now I sit in the pews of the church.
That girl is getting married now.
and drive off to her new life,
married to another man.
I wanted her to be mine,
but she didn't see me like that,
and I knew it.
But before she drove away,
she came to me and said 'you came !'.
She said 'thanks' and kissed me on the cheek.
I want to tell her,
I want her to know
that I don't want to be just friends,
I love her but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.

Death:-
Years passed, I looked down at the coffin
of a girl who used to be my 'best friend'.
At the service, they read a diary entry
she had wrote in her high school years.
This is what it read:
'I stare at him wishing he was mine,
but he doesn't notice me like that,
and I know it.
I want to tell him,
I want him to know that
I don't want to be just friends,
I love him but I'm just too shy,
and I don't know why.
I wish he would tell me he loved me!
.........'I wish I did too...'

Nigeria’s Olympic basketball team member, Chinedu Onyeuku, shot dead in Texas

Chinedu Onyeuku
A former Nigerian national basketball player was shot dead in a botched burglary in Texas before Thanksgiving, it has been revealed.

According to the Dallas News, Chinedu Onyeuku and another person allegedly tried to break into a residence on Rio Grande Street in Plano, Texas the night of November 21.

The homeowner told Plano police that he saw ‘multiple people’ approaching the house.

Onyeuku had played for the Nigerian team that qualified for this summer’s Olympic Games in London.

The two apparently entered the residence by breaking a glass patio door.

The homeowner shot Onyeuku, killing him instantly. His accomplice ran away without injury. Police are still trying to track the second burglar.

No one inside the home was injured in the burglary.

Upon their arrival, EMT workers pronounced him dead at the scene.

It is unclear why Onyeuku and his companion were trying to burglarize the residence.

The Nigeria Basketball Federation posted a statement saying that the 29-year-old athlete played basketball for the team that qualified for the London 2012 Olympics.

However, Onyeuku was not on the Olympic roster and did not actually compete.

The statement reads: ‘[His] passion for playing with D’Tigers was deep-seated and he will be greatly missed. The federation joins his family and team mates to mourn a departed son, father, husband and great patriot.’

According to online sports records, Onyeuku was born in the Nigerian capital of Lagos in 1983. He moved to the United States at age six.

He played college basketball at Illinois State University and then went semi-pro for awhile, playing for the Arlington Bulldogs, in the American Basketball Association.

In 2009, he was invited to play for the D’Tigers, a national squad in Nigeria.

It also said that Onyeuku lived in Omaha, Nebraska.

A STORY YOU MUST READ

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
