"VP Sambo Is Aware of My Involvement with Boko Haram"-Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume

Sen. Mohammed Ali Ndume (Borno South ) who is detained for his alleged roles in providing the Islamic terror group, Boko Haram with useful government information, including telephone numbers of government officials, has named VP Sambo in court of been aware of his dealing with Boko Haram.

Sen. Ndume said in court that "the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Namadi Sambo, is also aware that he was in contact with the Jammatul Sunnah Walid Jihad - Boko Haram".

Sen Ndume denied receiving "any information from Ali Umar Konduga on planned attacks on judges of the Borno State Election Tribunal." He claimed that "the first time he was contacted by one Ali was on 4th of October, 2011 after his inauguration as a member of the said Presidential Committee and in the course of his assignment on the security challenges in North East".

The convicted Boko Haram members, Ali Sanda Umar Konduga implicated Sen Ndume and informed the security that "the Senator provided logistics such as telephone numbers important people in the country and useful government information.
