A commercial bus driver was beaten to unconscious state by a policeman attached to Oyo state Police command for refusing to give him N50 bribe in a check point.
The locals at the scene in Adekile area of Ibadan were enraged when the driver slumped, manhandled the police officer, who was rescued by his colleagues.
ASP Femi Okanlawon, Oyo state Police PRO, that the police officer in question, has been arrested and the driver have been revived.
It is only God that know the bond between Nigerian police officers and N50 bride demands and extortion from motorists.
Lastly, when will the police start to dismantle the Roadblocks or their 'collection centres' as directed by the new Inspector general of Police?
