Federal Appeal Court to Review Ekiti Governor Judgement.

The Supreme court of Nigeria has indicated that they will not stop the Court of Appeal from reviewing its judgment of October 15, 2010, sacking Mr Segun Oni as Ekiti State governor and enthroning the incumbent, Kayode Fayemi.

Supreme court source said that "since there were rules on review of judgment and such permitted the applicant (Oni) of PDP, to file the application, nobody not even the Chief Justice of Nigeria could refuse him what the law permitted him to ask for."

Gov Kayode Fayemi of the ACN request the Supreme court to stop the Federal Appeal from reviewing their earlier judgement in his favour, regrettably his request was turned down.

The ruling of the Court of Appeal of October 15, 2010 in favour Gov Fayemi is challenged on various ground, especially on issue of conflict of interest involving the suspended Court of Appeal Judge.
